Fall in Little Cottonwood Canyon

We took Tara and Mandy and company up in the canyon

hoping to snap a few photos of the autumn leaves.

Unfortunately, the leaves had not reached their peak

as we had hoped. In other canyons along the Wasatch Front,

we had see bright reds, oranges and yellows,

but Little Cottonwood was a "little" disappointing.

I did get a picture with each of my granddaughters:

Happy Birthday Mya

On Saturday, October 9th, Mya celebrated her third birthday with a birthday party in her backyard. Several friends were invited. Here she is pictured watching her grandfather Scott juggle for all the kids.

We helped the kidlets make a layered sand party favor,

and they all went fishing for a treat bag. Roger played the part

of the pirate who was waiting to attach their bag to the fishing pole.

Here is Sophie fishing for her bag.

They enjoyed cupcakes and other treats. It was the year of

the Barbie I guess because Mya got five of them for her birthday!
