Photo Shoot For Three Little Kid-lets

Mandy put a beautiful book together for me
for Mother's Day.
I love it! I wish I could show you every page of it.
Looking at this picture, you may think,
"Oh, how sweet..."
Sometimes, however,
things are not always as they seem...

One of the more humorous layouts
has to be these photos of my three granddaughters.
You can totally understand the time
Mandy must have had trying
to get them to pose for the pictures.
It was so funny, I had to include a post about it.
Bless Mya's heart for trying to keep Sophie in place.

And if you find yourself at my home,
take a minute and look at the book.
It is one of my most beloved gifts...ever!

The Crawford's Visit

My sister Robbie and her husband Richard visited us in May. What a great time we had together. We had a mini-reunion with all the Utah relatives at Tara's home. We had a nice dinner and enjoyed our time together. Then we spent time in the mountains above Zion National Park, went on a couple of hikes and attended a concert at Tuacahn. Here are some photos from our get together:

Sisters by birth, Friends by choice

We topped our visit with a Beach Boy concert in the
gorgeous outdoor setting of the
Tuacahn Amphitheater!
I Love You Robbie!

Do I Have Beautiful Grandchildren, or What?

It's way past time for another post. Hmmm...what should I brag about this time?
My Granddaughters, of course!

Baby Savannah is everyone's favorite baby these days.
Such a chunk - and so huggable, lovable & kissable!

Sophie is a little more reserved, but she is so smart,
you can just tell it when you look in her eyes.
She is very sweet, loves to read books with you
and is developing quite the vocab!

Mya has changed so much. Wasn't she our little butter ball just a few days ago?
You can certainly tell her parents are going to beat off the boys with a stick!

Happy Birthday To Me!

All of my children and grandchildren surround me on my birthday.
Scott was not with me on this trip.
We had a great lunch at PF Changs.

Winter Wonderland

We spent the weekend at a cabin above Zion's National Park with the kids and grandkids. We had a great time. Just had to share these photos!

The Kearl Family enjoy the snow!
Uncle Jared and Sophie applaud
Jared has to show off!
We watched the Olympics, had some great meals, watched some movies, played games and tried to stay on top of Mya's potty training. The cabin was comfortable and cozy, the snow was beautiful and serene and the company...could not have been better!

Tribute to My Mom

My sweet mother, Lucille Honeycutt,
passed away on January 25th.
Her funeral was January 27th.
This blog post is a tribute to her!

This is the earliest picture I have of my mother.
She was 17 years old.
I always thought my mom was very beautiful.
She had a hard life, but she was funny, quick witted
and a true friend to many!
In the above photo, she looks a little like Drew Barrymore to me!
Mom and her four kids back in 1973
Robbie and I love this photo of mom. Mom loved to wear wigs
so she always had an instant hairdo she could grab at any moment.
This was mom's makeover photo right after she turned 70.
No wig in this picture!
I love this photo of mom with her three Utah Grandsons.
Everyone was happy this day- Thanksgiving 2004.

My mom and brother, Curtis, who also died in 2007

Mom, we love you, miss you, but know we will see you again.

The Best Christmas Gift!

Our third granddaughter was born on December 20th, 10 days early.
Let me introduce Savannah Lynn Woodhouse to you.
She was born at 1:25 pm and weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces
and was 20 inches long.
Mandy and baby are doing great.
She came home from the hospital in a Christmas Stocking.
We enjoyed Christmas at Mandy's home this year.
Happy New Year to each of you!
