Tribute to My Mom

My sweet mother, Lucille Honeycutt,
passed away on January 25th.
Her funeral was January 27th.
This blog post is a tribute to her!

This is the earliest picture I have of my mother.
She was 17 years old.
I always thought my mom was very beautiful.
She had a hard life, but she was funny, quick witted
and a true friend to many!
In the above photo, she looks a little like Drew Barrymore to me!
Mom and her four kids back in 1973
Robbie and I love this photo of mom. Mom loved to wear wigs
so she always had an instant hairdo she could grab at any moment.
This was mom's makeover photo right after she turned 70.
No wig in this picture!
I love this photo of mom with her three Utah Grandsons.
Everyone was happy this day- Thanksgiving 2004.

My mom and brother, Curtis, who also died in 2007

Mom, we love you, miss you, but know we will see you again.

Georgia Highlights

Jared and I went to Georgia to see my fam the first week of November. My two nephews, Cory and Tyler flew out as well, so we had a mini-reunion! Robbie and I took the boys to Helen, Georgia for the day.

We had an early Thanksgiving Dinner at Robbie and Richard's Home. We were able to bring mom over for the meal.

This is a cute picture of Mom, Robbie and Richard:

Jeremy's wife, Courtney and their son, Connor.

Dale and Que's son, Aidan:

We topped off the trip with a visit to the Georgia Aquarium:

Halloween 2009

We spent Halloween in the Salt Lake Valley near our grandchildren this year. Earlier that day we went to Park City to view a Lego Exhibit at the Kimball Art Museum entitled, "The Art of the Brick" by Nathan Sawaya. Here are a few of the amazing pieces we saw:

Jared, Sophie and Mya dressed up for Halloween. Jared was "Jimmy Canoose" (whoever that is). Sophie was a little lady bug and Mya was her favorite Disney character, Snow White.

Elder Lewis Returns!

We are grateful to report that on Tuesday, September 29th,our son, Jared (aka Elder Lewis) returned from Taiwan and is back at home trying to comprehend the transitional state of post mission life. Here is a video clip of our meeting up in the L.V. airport:
We had balloons and a poster designed by Mandy so he spotted us quickly.
The first thing he wanted to do after leaving the airport was to go get something to eat at Wendy's. He said he had been waiting two years for that. He called his sisters and brother-in-laws. After a few hours sleep, we web-cammed with his sisters and their families this morning. Tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st, we plan to drive up to Sandy to see Mandy and her family in person.
